Champagne

Not too far away from Ile-de-France, the eastern part of the Parisian basin in Vaires-sur-Marne, lies the base of Marne Loisirs.
Near the Chateau-Thierry the Marne flows to the side of the famous Champagne vineyards. Make a stop at one of the cellars for a short tasting of champagne. Discover the picturesque Meaux and its cathedral. Visit Epernay where the splendors of the Champagne come to the fore ground.
Whoever is already an experienced skipper (licence) has quickly covered the roughly 20 miles that separate Vaires from Paris and can consequently navigate on the capital’s canals. The journey will take you to the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. After that the trip continues underground and at the Bastille the locks and drawbridges of the Canal Saint Martin will lead you to Port de l’Arsenal (harbor of the arsenal).
